Breech at 33 weeks...what to do?

So I had a quick ultrasound yesterday to check up on baby girl (long story...I had a mild electric shock at work and wanted to make sure she was OK) and the doctor who was monitoring it informed me that my daughter is in a breech position right now.
She said that at 37 weeks I could get her "versioned" or turned around at the labor and delivery department, and that I would want to schedule a c-section if that didn't work out. Do any of you lovely ladies have any experiences to share on turning a breech baby, and if you recommend any alternative methods that might work prior to getting versioned?
I was born c-section because I was transverse, so maybe this runs in the family. I guess I'm resigned to getting a c-section if necessary, but it seems like Kaiser is pushing me in that direction, and I resent having to have a surgery if it's unnecessary. I'm actually feeling pretty depressed since I found out, and I need a little moral support...
