It's a girl! Wednesday Judith (yes, her first name is Wednesday; we can't explain it, but it's perfect to us) was born at home at 6:45 am on June 17th, 2007. She weighs 8lbs, 5 oz and is 19.5 inches long. Mom, baby, dad, and big brother are all doing well. She is, in my totally objective opinion, incredibly lovely.
She's eating and sleeping well, and Dad swears that she already loves Wynton Marsalis. Her grandma, whom she is named after (the Judith part), got to come see her when she was 12 hours old. Naturally, grandma came bearing loads of pink goodies. After 5 grandsons, she was hoping for a girl, and told us so in no uncertain terms. Haha!
As a side note, I think the birth has been a blessing for my mom, as she went shopping with her best friend yesterday, for the girl clothes, and that was her first shopping trip since her surgery. She had her second round of chemo last week, and both have gone pretty well and she hasn't been too sick from them.
